Our Commitment

Bishop Health is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, and other assistive technology. Mental health care should be reachable, and that starts with the site itself.

Conformance Target

We are targeting conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This statement reflects our current intent; it will be updated with a formal conformance status after an accessibility audit of the finished site.

What We're Doing

Measures already built into this site include:

A "skip to main content" link and a visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element.
Text and interface colors checked against WCAG AA contrast requirements.
Support for the reduced-motion preference — animations and transitions are disabled when your device requests it.
Descriptive alternative text on photography and a consistent heading structure on every page.
Layouts that reflow to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
